Themed Tours at the Liechtenstein Castle

The special themed guided tours are intended to give the interested guest the opportunity to gain non-everyday insights into the history of the castle.

Each of the tours listed here can be booked on special request for at least 15 persons.

Treasury Tour

In the treasury of the Liechtenstein Castle there is displayed a handcrafted replica of the Princely Crown of Prince Karl von Liechtenstein (1569-1627) among other exhibition pieces.

Discover the treasures of the collection, such as works of ivory and sacred art of different centuries.

Night Tour

Twilight envelops the castle in a mystical light: in the glow of the lantern leads a resident of the castle through the dark corridors and chambers of the castle and on the 45-meter high Heinrichturm. Accompanied by the mysterious call of the owls.

The night tour includes:

Welcome drink in the castle courtyard
Night Guide through the castle
Tower climb and nocturnal view over Vienna

The Grand Tour

The Grand Tour includes the regular Tour, the treasury, the tower and the fireplace room which has not previously been seen by the public.

Enjoy a tour led by a personal guide and find out more about the history of Castle Liechtenstein and its treasury. Climb the tower and prepare to be dazzled by the breathtaking view over the Vienna Basin and the southern part of the Vienna Woods. – without much time pressure!

Your personal Guide takes time for you and your interests.

Events 2025

The New Year's Eve Tour

Experience the night of nights on the highest battlements of the castle. 
After a tour of the castle, Liesecco from the Prince of Liechtenstein's court winery 
and bread rolls are waiting for you. 
At midnight you can enjoy the fantastic view of the fireworks spectacle in the 
city of Vienna from high above.
